It is a good practice for people to follow co-parenting skills. Kids need both their parents in life to grow up. It keeps both parents involved in the kid’s life. It can be a daunting task for the parents to implement the same, but it is to be done for the kids.
Protective Factors that Prevent Child Abuse & NeglectJim McKay
The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) has completed a comprehensive research
analysis, which identified five Protective Factors that are linked to the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
These Protective Factors or “Circles of Caring” are conditions in families and communities that,
when present, increase the health and well-being of children and families. These attributes also
serve as buffers against risk factors for child maltreatment.
We all want to be the best parents we can be for our children, but there is often conflicting advice on how to raise a kid who is confident, kind, and successful.

Parental Guidance is the most important part in one's life. So in this presentation its discussed that how it works, how it should be and also how their psychology is effected by various behaviors.
This is by far the final project I am most proud of. This is an example of one of the kinds of programs I hope to introduce to an organization in the future. It was also a final for one of my human service classes

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

This presentation provides an introduction to quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis and marker-assisted selection (MAS) in plant breeding. The presentation begins by explaining the type of quantitative traits. The process of QTL analysis, including the use of molecular genetic markers and statistical methods, is discussed. Practical examples demonstrating the power of MAS are provided, such as its use in improving crop traits in plant breeding programs. Overall, this presentation offers a comprehensive overview of these important genomics-based approaches that are transforming modern agriculture.
1. FOLLOWTHESESTEPSANDBETHEBEST
PARENT!
Do you aspire to be a good parent? You, of course, do. You want to help your
children reach their full potential and become contributing members of society.
However, going through all of the parenting advice available takes time.
Parenting is one of the most studied topics in social science. Here is a helping
hand no matter what your parenting style or parenting questions or concerns
are, from preventing your child from becoming a part of America's child obesity
epidemic to dealing with behavior problems.
We all want to be the best parents we can be for our children, but there is often
conflicting advice on how to raise a confident, kind, and booming child. And
every aspect of parenting has become more complicated and fraught during the
pandemic, with parents juggling complex new assignments and anxious new
decisions while dealing with the frequent questions that arise in daily life with
the children we love. It is critical to focus on balancing priorities, juggling
responsibilities, and quickly switching between the needs of your children, other
family members, and yourself throughout the circus act of parenting. Modern
parents have access to the internet and do not rely on a single authority. It isn't
easy to know who or what to believe. Moreover, the advice from various
"parenting experts" is frequently contradictory! We'll talk about how to help your
child grow into the person you want them to be without losing yourself in the
process.
2. Here are the ten parenting
skills, or Parents' Ten, in order
of importance:
1. affection and love
The number one competency
that predicts good parenting
outcomes is showing love. This
includes demonstrating
unwavering love, support, and
acceptance. It also emphasizes the value of one-on-one time with your child.
2. Stress reduction
Not only must you manage your own stress, but you must also teach your child
stress management and relaxation techniques.
3. Relationship abilities
To be successful in this area, you must model and maintain healthy interpersonal
relationships (spouse, significant other, co-parent, co-workers, family, etc.).
4. Independence and autonomy
When parents encourage autonomy and independence in their children, they
respect and believe in their abilities.
5. Education and instruction
Learning to be a lifelong learner starts at home. This includes valuing education,
modeling learning, and providing your child with enrichment opportunities.
6. life skills
This category includes providing
for your child's needs and
planning for the future. This
includes teaching your child how
to view obstacles and challenges
positively, which will help them
develop resilience and
perseverance.
3. 7. Behavior control
Positive discipline parents use positive reinforcement and deliver consequences
(rather than punishment) in a kind and firm manner, allowing their children to
feel connected, capable, and have a sense of belonging.
8. Health
You set an excellent example for your family by engaging in physical activity and
eating well.
9. Religion You promote spiritual and/or religious growth.
10. Safety
You contribute to your child's safety. Setting boundaries and being aware of their
activities and friends are examples of this. It also includes tactical measures such
as babyproofing your home and mandating helmet use while biking, as well as
teaching them how to cross the street safely and what sexual consent entails.
As a result, successful parenting is not about attaining perfection. But that
doesn't mean we shouldn't work toward it. Set high expectations for ourselves
first and then for our children. We are significant role models for them. Experts
agree that specific parenting skills are linked to positive outcomes for both
children and parents. Identifying those skills and refining those that require
improvement takes time, the right tools, and a lot of patience.
