Walt Disney was an American entrepreneur and animator who founded The Walt Disney Company. In 1923, after filing for bankruptcy with his Laugh-O-Gram studio, Walt and his brother Roy Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio and signed a contract with M.J. Winkler Productions to produce the Alice Comedies cartoon series. Walt Disney continued producing animated shorts throughout the 1920s, including introducing Mickey Mouse in 1928. By the 1930s and 1940s, Disney produced landmark animated feature films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, and built Disneyland theme park in 1955. Walt Disney revolutionized the animation and entertainment industry before his death in 1966.
