Walt Disney started his career in animation by working at an advertising agency where he met Ubbe Iwerks. They started their own commercial art studio together but it only lasted a month. Disney then conceived the idea for Mickey Mouse while traveling on a train. In 1928, his third Mickey Mouse film featuring sound was a success. Disney went on to create many animated films and characters but also dreamed of building an amusement park, which later became Disneyland. He grew his company successfully but died in 1966 from lung cancer without seeing The Jungle Book finished. Disney Studios later found great success again in the 1990s with films like Beauty and the Beast.
