Leap Motion is a hand and finger motion sensing input device developed by Leap Motion, Inc. It consists of a small USB peripheral and accompanying SDKs that allow hand and finger motions to be tracked and interpreted as system input. The Leap Motion controller tracks hands and fingers with an infrared camera and LED system, supporting interaction in Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. An app store called Airspace provides Leap Motion-exclusive apps for art, music, and exploration using hand gestures. While more sensitive than the Kinect, the Leap Motion has a smaller sensor region and apps can become tiring or difficult to control for long periods.
