The Oyster Bar
is ideally located
in the Darwin city
waterfront precinct.
The restaurant
offers a casual and
friendly environment
with a great menu,
brilliant service and
impeccable views from
a new fitout completed
by SHAPE.
SCOPE OF WORKS
SHAPE was engaged
to complete a fitout
to a vacant concrete
tenancy. The scope of
works included a 170
square metre fitout
with all new services,
a cold room/freezer,
amenities and an
outdoor alfresco area.
The key aspect of the
project was to ensure
communication of
progress was open
and clear on a daily
basis in order for the
client to coordinate
the steel and furniture
contractors around the
scope of works.
COLLABORATION
SHAPE was
recommended by
Knight Frank. The
client engaged
SHAPE under a
negotiated contract
instead of going
to tender. SHAPE
worked closely with
all stakeholders, in
particular Knight
Frank, who completed
a large proportion
of the mechanical
works and installed
the bi-fold doors.
SHAPE also kept all
stakeholders informed
of project progress
through regular
email updates for the
duration of the project.
The client benefitted
from a dedicated
project team, open
communication, local
knowledge, and focus
on delivering this high
quality project on time.
DEFECT
MANAGEMENT
To ensure the
project was defect
free SHAPE carried
out pre-handover
walkthroughs with
the client to allow a
smooth transition into
their new restaurant.
