The Project:
Chalcroft extended the premises of Bakkavör owned
Isleport Foods, in Somerset, which produces a range of
chilled desserts for the major UK supermarkets.
Not only did the multi-million pound project involve
doubling the size of the production facility, it also
included the internal refurbishment of the existing
building to suit the new production flow – all completed
without any disruption to production.

The Project:
The UK’s leading supplier of fresh potatoes enhanced its production with
an award-winning, environmentally efficient, high-care preparation facility.
The new temperature controlled operation included offices, intake and raw
materials, assembly, storage, packing and despatch facilities.
During the initial excavation work, Chalcroft reused the extracted
limestone by crushing it on site and utilising it as hardcore. We also used
the innovative method of insulating from the outside in, where insulated
panels are used as part of the external envelope.

our board and is a respected voice in the
industry. Chalcroft employs three full-
time NEBOSH qualified EHS Advisors,
who run the Chalcroft “Safety First”

Awards from RoSPA for Occupational

The Project:
Chalcroft has transformed one of Booker’s distribution centres
to include white-walled areas and the installation of freezer
and chiller systems. The scope of the project also covered
refurbishment of the offices, kitchen and canteen, and external
landscaping.
Existing flooring was removed and a new sub-base laid,
with glycol underfloor heating. Insulated panels of varying
thicknesses made up the walls and ceilings.
With a tight deadline, strong communication was crucial
throughout the development and it was critical for Chalcroft
to ensure that the refrigerated and chiller temperatures were
correct before handover to the client.

The Project:
A disused warehouse has been transformed into a food
processing plant. The facility included a new cold-store, blast
chillers, low risk/high risk chilled processing areas and offices.
