For a school newspaper assignment, students will work individually or with a partner to create a newspaper using Publisher. They must include a name and slogan for the paper, at least 7 articles with pictures if partnered or 5 articles if individual, and a games/comics page with one item created by the group. Creativity is encouraged in designing and filling the paper.

1. Newspaper Assignment

For this assignment, you and a partner will be creating a school newspaper.
In this paper, you may discuss anything that you would like, as long as it is
school appropriate. You can talk about intramurals and events at the school,
or in the world, conduct surveys and interviews on various topics, and create
a games and comics section.
This entire assignment will be done in Publisher.
Your paper must include:
• A name for your newspaper
o (New York Times, The Hornet’s Nest, etc.)
• A slogan
o (The Most Trusted Name in News, It’s All the Buzz!)
• At least 7 articles with pictures for partners, 5 for individual
• A games/comics page with at least one game/comic made by your
group
This is the bare minimum. Make sure that there are no blank white spaces on
your paper. Creativity is greatly encouraged and I am open to any of your
ideas. If you’re not sure, ask!
