William Eugene Blackstone was a 19th century American evangelical Christian who believed in biblical prophecies about the restoration of Jews to Israel. He combined evangelical beliefs with dispensational eschatology to advocate for Jewish relief from persecution and the restoration of Jews to their ancestral homeland in Palestine. Blackstone spent his adult life lobbying American political and public figures to support saving Jews and promoting their return to Palestine, launching the Christian Zionist movement in the United States.
