● Release Engineering Project Leader supported the multiple OSF/1 operating systems development pools
and eleven release support pools.

and setting up new submit pools, performing pool conflict analysis and supporting 300+ users.
● Responsibilities included: planning the overall software packaging; documenting and presenting the
documents that describe those plans; writing and maintaining the shell code used in the manufacture of
the software packages and its installation.
● ULTRIX V4.2A Project Leader ­
o Directed the efforts of 35 engineers, both local and at three remote sites, coordinated the work of
Documentation, O/S Development, Hardware Development, and Product Management groups.
o Lead the ULTRIX V4.2A project from engineering approval (Phase 1) through the on­time shipping
of the product to customers that included participants from several facilities.

Senior Software Engineer: Installation Project Leader / Factory Installed Software (FIS)
● Designed and implemented the first version of Factory Installed Software shipped from DEC for the
ULTRIX operating system. Lead development effort that included participants from Albuquerque NM,
Palo Alto CA, Nashua NH, Westfield MA, Maynard MA, and Ayr Scotland. Met all schedule milestones
delivering a product reducing system install time from 60 to 18 minutes.
● Led Installation project for DEC ULTRIX V3.1 through V4.2 that involved 2 to 4 engineers.
Participated in overall project meetings, providing Installation related input and testing status.
● Led QA projects for ULTRIX V2.0 through V3.0 for the VAX hardware platforms and V3.0 MIPS RISC
platform. Developed test plans and performed unit / system testing for all supported hardware platforms.
Reviewed and provided input for all books being submitted for each release.
