Over the course of the last few weeks, we have looked at a number of different scenarios, as well as suspects, in the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Your assignment for this midterm examination is to tell me: (1) whether there was a conspiracy to assassinate JFK, and (2) who was behind the conspiracy. In addition, you must present credible evidence to support your theory . This is not an “I think Bobby Kennedy was behind the assassination because he wanted to be President” type of paper. You are to construct a logical, well-reasoned, and well-supported argument that proves your hypothesis. In short, you are building a case (or geometric proof) so that at the end of the paper the reader will say “QED”, the mystery is solved. Each factual statement should reference a valid source (i.e., Warren Commission Report , Crossfire , House Assassination Subcommittee Report , etc.) This is a TAKE HOME midterm examination. In an attempt to answer the question about 9/11, it's difficult to reflect on a day when so many people lost their lives in the worst terrorist attack on American soil in history. It's difficult to opine whether it could have been prevented or not. One issue I do believe is that, if President Bush had not made the decision to ground all the planes, there is the distinct possibility that more lives could have been lost. I think it's easy to look at these types of situations in hindsight. As Fred Borch (2003) notes in his article in the Journal of Military History, "There can be no discussion of whether that attacks...resulted from an 'intelligence failure' without defining the phrase. Does it mean these events were intelligence failures because information had been collected (or was available) that, if properly analyzed and disseminated to those in authority, would have provided tactical warning of the attack?" Yes, there were previous attacks on American warships and the World Trade Center, but intelligence officials have concluded that, although there was always a persistent threat of an attack, there was no credible or "imminent" threat that an attack would occur on September 11, 2001.
There are multiple instances of a failure to communicate. Certain leads that possibly weren't investigated thoroughly and there was a two-year long investigation into the attacks by the "9/11 commission." Errors in human judgment in determination of whether every lead is credible or not can play a factor but those judgment errors alone could not prevented the overall coordinated attack that occurred on 9/11. "The investigation turned up no single damning piece of evidence that would have led agents directly to the impending attacks" (Isikoff, Klaidman, & Reno, 2003). There is simply not enough time or manpower to investigate every threat made against the U.S. Government or America itself. Federal agents, in their knowledge and expertise, must use their own judgment to determine whether to follow up on credible leads whether it be an attack on private citizens or property, a plot to kill the President, bombing of a federal building, or other such terroristic events. Again, while it is easy to examine an issue in hindsight, it is the opinion of this writer that this coordinated terrorist attack took too long to plan and was so precise and detailed that there was no way to prevent it.

As the wireless access technology continues to evolve and become more flexible, planning and predicting performance of such networks becomes a challenging task. Often claims made in the popular media about the speed, scalability and reliability of the LTE networks are purely theoretical in nature, and the actual performance of these networks depends upon a myriad of factors. Understanding such factors and designing network deployments to achieve the maximal performance out of the given resources is indeed a critical task. In this lab exercise, we will study how OPNET Modeler/Guru can be used as a planning tool. We will use out-of-the-box reports, statistics, and other software tools to understand the network performance and how it relates to the LTE technology itself. Using planning workflows, we will optimize network parameters to achieve target objectives. Over the course of the semester you will prepare a marketing plan that will demonstrate your ability to apply marketing concepts to a real-world product or service. This assessment is in lieu of a final examination and was designed to measure your performance on all course learning outcomes.

Often claims made in the popular media about the speed, scalability and reliability of the LTE networks are purely theoretical in nature, and the actual performance of these networks depends upon a myriad of factors. Understanding such factors and designing network deployments to achieve the maximal performance out of the given resources is indeed a critical task. In this lab exercise, we will study how OPNET Modeler/Guru can be used as a planning tool. We will use out-of-the-box reports, statistics, and other software tools to understand the network performance and how it relates to the LTE technology itself. Part 1: Create a timeline that covers at least four major events of the women's movement. Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. - 1. Over the course of the last few weeks, we have looked at a number of different scenarios, as well as suspects, in the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Your assignment for this midterm examination is to tell me: (1) whether there was a conspiracy to assassinate JFK, and (2) who was behind the conspiracy. In addition, you must present credible evidence to support your theory . This is not an “I think Bobby Kennedy was behind the assassination because he wanted to be President” type of paper. You are to construct a logical, well-reasoned, and well- supported argument that proves your hypothesis. In short, you are building a case (or geometric proof) so that at the end of the paper the reader will say “QED”, the mystery is solved. Each factual statement should reference a valid source (i.e., Warren Commission Report , Crossfire , House Assassination Subcommittee Report , etc.) This is a TAKE HOME midterm examination. It is due, as a hard copy, IN CLASS
- 2. on March 25, 2015. No late submissions will be accepted. Your assignment is to answer the questions above. Your answer should take the form of 8 to 10 typewritten pages. You may use the references already uploaded to Moodle, as well as any other references that you choose as long as they are authoritative. Your answer should also follow the Guidelines for Written Assignments contained in the syllabus.
