Our Senses Garden
 taste, touch, hear, see, smell.
Why did we make it?
 We made the garden because some children at
our school thought we needed more colour and
    more gardens in our playground.
 They wanted a quiet area to go and sit and talk
    to their friends.
 The Year 1 and 2 children will visit the garden
when they are learning about their senses for
    landscape learning.
 This was just a muddy area in the winter that no
    one could use.
The E team had a meeting and planned how
we wanted the garden to look and what we
              wanted in it.
Mrs Warburton and Mr Rhodes talked
about how we should build it.
How did we make it?
           Mr Rhodes our
              property
              manager built all
              the fences and
              the gardens for
              us.
Cheryl painted the signs
Lots of children helped to put the
      soil into the gardens.
Children in the E team planted the
              garden.
We planted some
herbs to taste and smell
We planted vegetables to eat
The scarecrows help to keep the
   birds off our vegetables.
