2. Rio Jamor is a Portuguese river rises in Carregueira hill, in Sintra, and flows into the River Tagus in Cruz Quebrada. The upper section is also known as stream beauty. The main tributary of the left bank of the river is Carenque river. Until 18 th century the river was bigger and too important for the life of the people that lived around it, but with the great earthquake in 1755, the river change is way and became a small river.
