This job description is for an Order Fulfillment Specialist. 1. JOB TITLE/TYPE: ORDER FULFILLMENT SPECIALIST
Description:
The principal role of the Order Fulfillment Specialist is to :
1. Manage shipment, processes and documentation for outbound orders. Ensuring that internal customers’ needs
are met and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to.
2. Responsible for the management of warehousing, consolidation and transportation of finished goods to the
customer. This includes initiating improvements in logistics operation, and facilitates a strategic outlook that will
better serve all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating and communicating shipment delivery requirements with freight forwarders
• Primary contact for global affiliates in reference to the logistics process
• Releasing all International orders from distribution & manufacturing to freight forwarders
• Completing all required export documentation
• Responsible for timely, accurate and complete record keeping
• Ensuring all processes and documentation are in accordance with GEHC & Export compliance requirements
• Lead service/cost optimization projects
• Using TMS (Transportation Management System) and logistics expertise to utilize the optimum mode of transport for
shipments
• Position may or may not manage employees
• Responsible for On Time Shipment / SCOT for transportation
• Overcome road blocks to ensure shipment is made in line with internal and external customers’ requirements
• Drive warehousing optimization/Lean projects
• Establish and maintain focus on safety, driving 0 Lost Time Accident initiative
• Establish and maintain ISO/GAC approved procedures for all operations
• Develop, coach and lead consolidation team, setting measurable goals and objectives to evaluate success
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy,
Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
4. Knowledge and understanding of International Trade Compliance, identify, report and resolve any trade compliance
issues.
5. Knowledge of operating within security programs such as CTPAT and AEO to ensure that warehousing,
packaging and transportation requirements are met.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years export operations experience, or order management of freight forwarder operations
experience
2. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
3. Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Materials or Supply Chain Management
2. Minimum of 3 years of operational logistics, import/export and/or customs expertise.
3. Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) graduate
4. Solid communication& analytical skills includes experience with communicating with others from different counties&
cultures.
5. Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
6. Proven ability to execute, multi-task, deliver on commitments and matrix environment
7. Experience working in a compliant supply chain & Experience in Region OTR/Commercial Operations.
8. Lean Expertise, including Lean Six Sigma Belt certified process methodology.
9. Oracle order management experience.
