An adult osprey pair met up in December 2011 to breed at a lagoon. They worked together to catch fish, with one hovering and diving to pierce fish with its talons before taking off. The pair used a discarded t-shirt to line their nest and had two chicks in 2012. Unfortunately one chick was lost to a storm, but the other grew strong and eventually took its first flight, though the landing was rough.
