Fundamental of Nursing and Medical Surgical Nursing Lab

This lab is organized to learn basic and critical nursing care with the help of manikins and
simulators, models & modules (variety of adult & pediatric). The lab helps to develop the life
form absolutely realistic revolutionary nursing skills through “hands on training” under
continuous supervision & guidance by expert teaching faculties.
Community Health Nursing
This lab ensures the students to learn home visiting bag technique &
practice the community health nursing while providing family health
care at the door step of the clients using modified home visiting kits.
The lab is equipped with variety of audio visual material to practice
health teaching in the community.
ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
This lab is prepared to reinforce the theory knowledge about human Anatomy
&Physiology with the help of articulated skeletal, various bones, models and
charts etc.
Maternal And Child Health
Nutrition laboratory

This lab is designed to assist the learner to acquire wide range of
knowledge of dietetics in Indian settings & to understand the concepts
of ” Nutrition, Health & Disease” while planning the diet for individuals
and groups in the hospital and in the community.
Biochemistry laboratory
Tis Lab is utilized to make the students aware of the
basic setup of laboratory, the procedure for sample
collection, separation to the analysis.
Computer laboratory
with Internet
It is well ventilated with 20 computers available for training and practice
purpose. This lab will be used by the students to practice the application
of computers in the field of nursing.
AUDIO – VISUAL
The lab is equipped with various electronic devices for the effective
teaching & learning such as LCD projectors, Over Head projectors,
etc.

The Auditorium is centrally air-conditioned and economically designed chairs
with fully equipped with latest audio-visual facilities and sitting capacities up to
350 and are being extensively used for different continuing the educational
programme and cultural activities. Events like seminars, symposia and guest
lectures are held here.

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR
COLLEGE
• Wearing Identity card (ID) is compulsory in the college campus (until you leave the
premises).
• Students are not to allow to leave a campus for 8 am to 4 pm
• Once a student enters in the college mobile phone should be on silent mode.
• Use of Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited in Classrooms, Corridors, Foyer, Laboratory,
Staircases and Library, Staircases and Library.
• Student found using mobile phone in above said places will be liable to pay a fine of Rs.
100/- and mobile phone will be in the custody of College Campus Manager for 2 days.
• In case of emergency, student should take permission of the teacher for using mobile phone.
• Students can use mobile phone in common room, canteen passage and near the gate area.
• Students are required to allow above rules and regulations.
• Students are strictly NOT allowed to use staff lift.
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR
CLINICALS
• It is mandatory for scheduled to reach Clinical 15 minutes previous to
there of clinical
• Student are not allow to wear jewelry
• Compulsory to carry out stethoscope / handsanitiser/napkin /
paper bag& pocket articles should be carried daily.
• Professional growing of students
• Discipline in attendance : The students must repeat in time in uniform &
professionally groomed sharp at 8.00 am, so they should reach in the
respective clinical area at least 15 minutes i.e. at 7.45 am, change the
uniform & be in their clinical posting area 5 minutes prior.
• As 100% attendance necessary in the clinical are students are not
allowed to be absent during their clinical posting.
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR
LEAVES
• New joining staff take month wise CL
• 24 EL can be dived into 3
• 3 Emergency leave ( Monday, Friday, Saturday)
• Concession only once 2 hours and 1 hour for two times a month.
• After 3 late punching ½ CL will be cut.
• To get Saturday off benefit minimum 3 days should be filled in same week.
• To get Sunday off benefit 4 days should be filled in same week.
• CL- 12 ( 8-Regular)
• EL – 24 ( 3 times split)
• SL-10 ( After completing 1 year)
• May month only 15 days leave is allowed.
• El can be extended upto 10th June but it should be followed with May month EL
• Saturday-Sunday joined only EL or SL should be taken
• For EL sanction one side should be open that is working.
• Only one working Saturday emergency leave will be considered, if rule is not followed by staff then 6 months that staff
has to do half day on all Saturday or else that Saturday without pay will be done.
• If supervisor is remaining absent for 2 days during Clinicals then they have to compensate it with 4 days duty in
Clinicals but if their duty is planned then inform before hand.
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR MATERNITY LEAVES
• 3 years and above service – As per old rule
• Revised – 6 months leave in process with full pay
• 2 years and 3 years – ½ payment for 3 months
• 2 years and below service – no ML
• Note : - After taking benefits of ML, staff has to serve for 2 years in an institute.
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR ABORTION LEAVES
• 3 years service – consider as Medical leave for 2 weeks with full pay sanction by
• management
• Below 2 years – no leave

• In emergency documents has to be submitted then Medical leave would be sanction
• By management.
• Note : All leave will be sanction depending on the output of employee in the institution
as well as sanction by management.

LEAVES
• Leave to be planned, discussed with the fellow partners/ colleagues &
the Principal & Vice Principal for the work management.
• If Earned Leave (EL) written application is necessary at last 10 days
prior.
• All have to inform me early prior to leave, enter it in the leave file, take
the signature & then proceed on leave.
• EL/month = 24 EL/year
• Out of total 12 Casual Leave (CL) only 3 emergency leaves may be
sanction other 9 CL needs to be preplanned, pre informed to the
Principal, Vice Principal & the concerned colleagues
• Probation period 3 months no leave will be sanctioned
• But the employee is entered for the leave as calculation one CL/month
& 2 EL/month.
• Sick Leave (SL) – 10/yr after completion of one full year of service

• EL can be taken for 3 times in a year. Only 15 days EL in the month of MAY. EL can’t be
carried forward. Last 3 months CL & be calculated.
• Joint leave with Saturday & Sunday off with Friday or Monday will be sanctioned only in
emergency in that A.Y.
• Concession should be pre sanctioned informed, the concession form to be filled, signed by
the Principal & handed over to Ms. Jyoti for filing. Concession to be re filled within rest 3
days only. ( Maximum 2 hrs concession can be sanctioned). It may be sanctioned in
emergency or refuted & at the discretion of Principal/Vice Principal concession can’t be
sanctioned in between the duty hours.
• Only either in the morning or afternoon for 1 hr two times & 2 hrs once / month.
• Leave will be treated as paid if it is not entered within 3 days & enjoying it ( if not possible
due to clinical supervision then in the last week of that month only be considered.
• Duty hours one from 8.am to 4.00 pm. 8.10 is a better time, so those who arrive 10 than time
for more then 3 time of month, their half CL will be cut.
• If work, more the employee may be to wait/ come early & compensation will not be given
for that time.
INSERVICE EDUCATION POLICY
• The teachers can attend workshop, conferences as per their need and interest but expenses can be
claimed for any 2 inservice programmes.
• Only 50% of the amount can be claimed.
• These Inservice programmes can be attended with the benefit of ‘ON DUTY LEAVE’.
• Benefit for post graduate programmes or further studies can be claimed for 2 canditates with
promise of no financial commitment.
