OM Institute is a non-Governmental organization that has been entrusted with the
authority and responsibility to provide an access to employment-centric quality education,
skill up-gradation and training to the needy section of the society.
The OM Institute offers need and demand driven vocational courses in the areas of health
and paramedical sciences, and various other skill developing skills. These courses are
certified for potential employment.
The OM Institute delivers the programs through printed study materials coupled with
practical oriented classroomtrainings and detailed hands-on exposure on modern medical
healthcare systems in well equipped laboratories in as well as out-campus. Such clinical
practical trainings are conducted by qualified and experienced Physicians and doctors as it
requires interpretation of laboratory investigation, scientific referral system, medication
systems etc. The Institute has tied-up with many hospitals, diagnostic pathological
laboratories, blood banks, computer centers, NGOs for the fulfillment of the aim.
The OM Institute mainly focuses on Paramedical and health sciences becausea large
population of India belongs to rural areas and is not assured well medical facilities.
According to WHO recommendations 1 out of 1000 people requires well qualified doctor,
and 1 doctorneeds in turn 8 skilled paramedics. So far our country has 1.2 billion
populations and it needs 12 Lac doctors and 96 Lac paramedics. Till date there are 4 Lac
doctors and equal numbers of paramedics. Hence to cater medical aids to the rural India,
the dearth of paramedics has to be fulfilled.
This OM Institute is proud to work in conjunction with such skill development schemes of
Govt. of India for the ultimate betterment of the society.
2. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1.To cater medical aids in rural and backward corners of the society of India through
Vocational Trained personnel.
2.To generate employment for the schooldrop-outs, jobless graduates, poorand needy
youths of the society.
3.To help the women and weaker section of the society to be financially independent.
4.To utilize the expertise of social workers, Geriatric care givers, Physiotherapist,
Paramedics, physician and entrepreneurs for the fulfillment of the objectives.
5.To utilize the benefit of welfare schemes of Govt. towards minority communities by
establishing educational Institute, computer education and libraries.
6.To set-up free health check-up camps in association with medical and private
organizations.
7.To eradicate the age-old misconceptions about disease and their complications through
counseling by health workers.
8.To serve the old and helpless generation of the society.
9.To provide innovative and advanced, quality education to the left out section of the
society.
10.To organize blood donation camps with the aid of local NGOs and involve people of
health care departments
About BSS
Bharat Sevak Samaj, (BSS) is a National Development Agency set up in the year 1952
under the President ship of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on the recommendations of the
National Advisory Committee on public co operation of the planning commission,
Government of India. On 11th October 1952 Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Founder-president
of BSS dedicated Bharat Sevak Samaj to the nation.
Bharat Sevak Samaj is National Development Agency sponsered by the Planning
Commission, Government Plans. The main purposebehind the formulation of Bharat
Sevak Samaj is to initiate a nationwide, non official and non political organization with the
object of enabling individual citizens to contribute, in the form of an organized co-
operative effort, to the implementation of the National Development Plan. The constitution
and functioning of Bharat Sevak Samaj is approved unanimously by the Indian Parliament

90% attendance is a must for successfulcompletion of the courseand to appear for

Eligibility Criteria
1. SSC / Equivalent passed is eligible for admission in certificate courses.
2. Higher Secondary/12th/Intermediate passed in science streams is eligible for the
diploma.
3. Candidates belong to Arts & Commerce stream will have to undergo a short term
coursein general Science and then can take lateral entry into Diploma course.
4. Recognized 1 year certificate courseolder may take admission in 3rd semester.
5. Facility of direct admission on first-come-first-admission basis depending on
qualifying marks.
Mode of Admission
1] Admission will be granted to individual students against application submitted through
the respective approval Centre only. The prescribed original application form should be
filled up by the candidate only. Special care to be taken to avoid overwriting in
black/blue. The forms should be filled up in capital letters only. No columns should be
left blank, if not applicable then write NA.
2] Photocopied forms will be rejected. If any spelling mistake in admission form or
registration is found, same mistake will be reflected in the respective courserelated
documents. You will solely be liable for that and have to bear the delay and associated
fees for rectification.
The candidate must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in the
prospectus and the website.
3] Photocopies ofdocuments establishing the eligibility of the candidates are required to
be submitted duly attested by the gazette officer and self attested by the candidate, and
the same should be verified, stamped and signed by the Centre Head.
If the candidate wishes to change any spelling or others, Affidavit copies of the
documents have to be submitted.
Mode of payment
5. 1. The admission fee for affiliated courses can be paid either in cash or cheque or drafts.
2. If paid by cash admission fee to be paid on the spotat the time of the admission, and
the remaining fee can be paid in 3 installments or monthly tuition fee basis. If the
candidate discontinues its candidature from the Institute, the fee shall not be refunded.
3. Receipt will be issued against any payment but claim without receipt will not be
entertained.
4. If paid by Draft the Payments to be made by A/c payee bank Draft in favor of ‘OM
Institute of ParamedicalScience’ payable in Mumbai
1. The student should abide by the rules of the institute.
2. Any misconductor misbehavior that breaks the decorum of the class shall be executed.
3. Foreligibility to appear in the final examination, minimum 75% attendance is
compulsory in both theory and practical.
4. Every candidate should carry identity card and should produceit on demand.
5. Foreligibility to appear in the final exam the candidate should submit a no-due form,
duly signed by the in-charge of all departments.
6. The candidate will be charged with the breakage money if reported to have been
broken any lab instrument.
7. The candidate should pay the library fee and collect the library card. The card can be
used for 7 days at a time in case of books and 5 days in case of CDs. Extension of issue
period will be charged for books and for CDs.
8. Any political activities will not be indulged within the campus.
9. The last date of admission, payment, and defaulters will be put up in the notice board
which has to be followed regularly.
10. In distance education courses, the enrolment certificates, study materials, multiple
choice questions, admit cards, mark sheet, passing certificate etc. may delay to reach the
institute. The cooperation of the candidate is sought for the same.
11. The defaulters for fee payment shall lose candidature in that session 10 days before
exam. Fresh application form and fees has to be submitted.
12. Candidates have to update himself/herself through the Institute website for any notice
13. Legal disputes if any will be subject to the territorial jurisdiction of court of Kolkata.
14. The charge as exam fee, library fee, MCQ, study materials, practical charges etc. are
to be paid in extra and is not included in the tuition fee.
