4. PERFORMANCE TASK:
The learners will be attending a job fair where they will be
interviewed by various employers. They need to prepare a well-
constructed resume and application letter beforehand based on
the position they are applying for. The employers will evaluate
them based on a given criteria (appearance, greeting,
communication, body language, posture and eye contact,
politeness, general attitude, responses to questions, candidate
integrity, and overall demonstration of interview skills).

GIVE THE CONTEXT
7.
8.
9. What are the skills and
strategies essential
for the interview?
14. 1. Who started the interview? How did
the interview go?
2. What were the limitations of the
questions being asked?
3. How did the applicant respond to the
questions
4. What were the aspects considered by the
applicants in answering the questions?
16. Communicative Strategies
These are plans, ways or
means of sharing
information which are
adopted to achieve a
particular social, political,
psychological, or linguistic
purpose.
17. NOMINATION
A speaker carries out nomination
to collaboratively and productively
establish a topic.
Basically, when you employ this
strategy, you try to open a topic
with the people you are talking to.
18. NOMINATION
"Do you have anything to say?"
"Have you heard the news about
the prettiest girl in school?"
"Does that make sense to you?
"Now, it’s your turn to ask
questions."
20. RESTRICTION
Restriction in communication refers to
any limitation you may have as a speaker.
When communicating in the classroom,
in a meeting, or while hanging out with
your friends, you are typically given
specific instructions that you must follow.
21. RESTRICTION
For example, in your class, you might
be asked by your teacher to
brainstorm on peer pressure or
deliver a speech on digital natives.
In these cases, you cannot decide to
talk about something else.
22. RESTRICTION
Remember to always be on
point and avoid sideswiping
from the topic during the
conversation to avoid
communication
breakdown.
23. CONSIDERATIONS
1. Language form
2. Duration of interaction
3. Relationship of speaker
4. Role and responsibilities of the speaker, and
5. Message during communicative situations
25. NOMINATION
•Establish a topic
•Open for opinions
• Topics are organized
sequentially
RESTRICTION
•Limit a topic
•Always on point
•Avoid certain topics
