More than a professional…
Striving for Excellence 
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis as a college 
junior 
After severe weight loss and depression, I cleaned up 
my diet and started weightlifting to strengthen my 
body. 
5 years since my diagnosis, I am off of all medication, 
and I have discovered my passion for bodybuilding. 
104 lbs. in 2010 145 lbs. in 2014 
I taught myself tennis when I was 13 years old 
because I could not afford tennis lessons. 
Eventually, I became the captain of my high 
school varsity tennis team for two years 
running.

Curious about the World 
Dancing with the Korean Team at WPI’s Dragon Festival, 2011 
National Museum of 
Denmark, 2010 
I enjoy visiting art and natural history museums. I also volunteer 
at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts as an usher for Department 
of Public Programs. 
In my college senior year, I danced with 7 members of the 
Korean Student Association in the Dragon Festival. 
I lived in India till I was 12 years old and traveled 
to the states of Rajasthan, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. 
I have traveled extensively through Europe 
(7 countries) to visit historical sites and learn 
about different cultures.

2012, I read books for 1 
hour a week to elementary 
school kids who are 
struggling to read at their 
grade-level. 
As a Public Relations Officer of my college 
fraternity, I planned charity sport tournaments, and 
food and clothing drives to raise $7500. 
Since graduating college, I volunteer with my 
colleagues from EMD Millipore.
