PURPOSE:
To maintain good behavior
while enhancing reading, writing
and arithmetic, encourage self-
esteem, team building, empower
proper thinking via making the
right decisions, while inspiring oth-
ers to emulate those that make the
right choice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gold Members will meet with
the Advisory Board twice a month
to discuss student issues and con-
cerns. Members will contribute to
the school by speaking what's on
their minds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be qualified to be a
Student Representative students
must maintain level 2 or 3. Student
must be nominated then voted on
by the class of which he or she
attends. Currently only 6, 7 & 8th
graders are eligible to be Student
Representatives.
BENEFITS:
In addition to the Purpose of
a Student Representative members
will participate in the monthly
newsletter entitled "Student
Council - Gold Member's Academic
Society.” Students will learn how to
write articles, layout pages, take
pictures and compose a literary
voice!

AT OUR 1ST MEETING

Last month we had
our first meeting on
Friday the 13th and
things went great!
Some of the things we
discussed included the following:
We thought that lowering
level 2 would make a difference by
helping more students make level.
We thought that the staff should
move their cars in the parking lot so
that we would have more room to
play. We wanted to change the dis-
missal time from 3:00pm to 2:30pm.
We wanted to see more educational
& entertaining trips.
