Grade 8 students in Germany constructed optical illusions and undecidable figures using GeoGebra as an introductory project to learn how to use the dynamic geometry software. Their teacher presented the project to demonstrate constructing simple illusions using basic tools like reflections, rotations, and the coordinate system. Students explained each illusion and why some figures were undecidable, often because they appear three-dimensional but cannot exist physically. The goal was to have students practice dynamic constructions while learning about optical tricks that confuse visual perception.
