IntroductionRelocation of Massachusetts office to a new building at 1560 Trapelo Road in Waltham.  ObjectivesUse Public elements such as a display space to showcase Autodesk’s technology;The design will showcase new methods of development that Autodesk currently recommends to customers;Manage a limited budget and a very short timeline in which to complete the project.1
Whatis Building Information Modeling (“BIM”)?A software program that allows for a space to be mapped in 3-D, to show all of the design and construction elements; 3-D renderings of a space under construction enables major design elements, such as lighting, to be modified early on, during construction;  This process helps facilitate key design changes and provides for a more collaborative design process. 1
What is Integrated Project Delivery (“IPD”)?A design and construction process, between architects, contractors and the client, which is highly collaborative;  Agreement to work in an IPD environment can be built into the contracts for the architect and contractors.;If the project does not get completed on time or budget, no one gets paid;  Major challenge is to find architects and contracts willing to work in such an environment. 1
