The OpenMetadata Community Meeting was held on May 8th, 2024. In this meeting, we discussed about the OpenMetadata 1.4 features, especially about Activity feed improvements, Glossary term tree, Lineage layers, Exporting lineage, Custom properties, Custom theme and so on. For the Collate specific features, we showcased the Automator, Incident manager for failed rows, Asset bulk upload, and more. In the Community Spotlight, Jürgen Zornig from ms.GIS (https://msgis.com/) spoke about the spatial connector that they built using OpenMetadata. He discussed about his metadata journey in GIS, data lifecycle management, why they chose OpenMetadata, provided a solution overview, and the key benefits of holistic data lifecycle management in relation to the spatial connector.
