Yle is Finland's public broadcasting company, with a budget of 440 million euros, 3,100 employees, and numerous TV and radio channels. It receives funding from an individual income tax of 50-140 euros and company taxes. Yle's mission is to strengthen democracy and Finnish culture by producing reliable information and media to enrich lives. Examples of its openness include transparent journalism on social media and open data and source code.

Companies included
• net sales of 0,4 – 1,0 million euros: the tax is 350 euros
• larger companies: 700 euros
A total of 500 million euros in 2013 will be channeled into the
state television and radio fund
Yle´s level of services will be maintained
Control of Yle remains in the Parliament
