This document describes Open Energy, a project that aims to develop a platform to visualize energy systems in real-time. The project seeks to increase understanding of how energy systems work through new interfaces. It prototypes an open source energy infrastructure as envisioned by the Third Industrial Revolution. An energy monitoring device collects real-time data on consumption from various electrical variables, which a visualization system displays through experimental interfaces to amplify energy awareness. The interfaces show energy behavior in housing environments and explore spatial data visualization and augmented reality.

We´re exploring interfaces for visualizing different electrical variables(Active Power, Reactive Power, RMS
Voltage, Current, Temperature, Date, Time). These inferfaces pretend to amplify the awareness about
energy, the interfaces display in real-time how is the energy behaviour in housing-environment, and we are
also investigating new experimental interfaces that explore new ways in which we can interact with energy
data.
