The Free Cloud Alliance (FCA) is a non-profit organization whose members are open source software publishers in cloud computing. FCA activities include disseminating open source cloud computing knowledge and research. FCA members operate solutions in various countries and provide infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). The FCA website provides an open source solutions catalog and guidelines for assessing cloud solutions and suppliers. FCA members offer production-ready solutions across storage, coordination, and other areas.

This session describes the architecture and implementation of an embeddable, extensible enterprise content management core for Java EE and simpler platforms. The presentation starts by describing the general architectural concepts used as building blocks:

In this 30-minute presentation, SL’s Mark Bloomberg and Gopi Parimi demonstrated RTView for TIBCO EMS Monitor. The presentation includes an overview of the RTView architecture and some examples of customer uses. Using RTView for EMS Monitor, companies have been able to reduce their time to problem resolution by 75% and reduce costs by 80%. The demo was followed by a Q&A session.

Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
