Political Interview—Iowa GOP Candidate Quits Senate Race to Become Senator of...Scott Raynor
Randi Shannon, the Republican candidate for an Iowa Senate seat, has dropped out of the race to become a senator in an alternative constitutional government called the "Republic of the United States." She believes the current U.S. government is illegitimate since it incorporated as a company in the 1860s. The Republic claims the original U.S. government from before the 14th Amendment is still in effect. Shannon will now act as a senator and help enforce the laws of this alternative government, though most do not recognize its legitimacy. Her departure leaves the Republican party scrambling to replace her as their candidate for the important state Senate race.

The document discusses issues with police brutality and corruption. It argues that all cops are bastards because even if individual cops are nice people, they work within a system that is corrupt and protects bad cops. The document provides numerous examples of police violence and lack of accountability, especially against black people, the disabled, and those with mental illnesses. It asserts that people are protesting widespread police murder of unarmed civilians and lack of consequences, rather than dangerous criminals being killed.
Barack Obama was the 44th President of the United States and the first African American president. Prior to becoming president, he was a Senator from Illinois and helped create legislation on issues such as weapons control, government accountability, lobbying, electoral fraud, climate change, and care for veterans. Obama was born in 1961 and was elected President in 2008 as the first African American to hold the office.
The document provides examples of impermissible behavior by military personnel, civilians, and contractors along with potential command actions. It discusses several scenarios involving membership in or support of supremacist groups, including wearing group logos, participating in protests, and disseminating group literature. Nonprofit organizations need to conduct thorough criminal background checks on employees and volunteers due to risks. National and state criminal databases are incomplete so county courthouse records should also be searched. A good background check includes identity verification and searching criminal records at the county, state, and federal levels. High-risk volunteers who have high access or credibility also require full background checks. The Fair Credit Reporting Act governs employment-related background checks and requires employers to provide notices.
This document discusses police brutality and the disproportionate rate at which African Americans are killed by police in the United States. It provides definitions of police brutality and excessive use of force. It notes that while more white Americans are killed by police in total numbers, African Americans are over twice as likely to be killed when adjusting for population size. It summarizes findings from studies that African Americans are more likely to be shot and killed by police whether armed or unarmed compared to white Americans.

Hospitals in California absorb about $1.25 billion annually in uncompensated care for undocumented immigrants, including $26 million in Ventura County alone. Eight hospitals in Ventura County charge over $260 million total each year for uninsured or underinsured patients. While there are no specific numbers, it is estimated that around 10% of uncompensated costs come from people without legal status in the US. Advocates argue this issue should receive more federal funding.

Lifting the Corporate Veil. Power Point Presentationseri bangash
"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.
Group Enterprises: In some cases, where multiple corporations are closely related or form part of a single economic unit, courts may pierce the corporate veil to achieve equity, particularly if one corporation's actions harm creditors or other stakeholders and the corporate structure is being used to shield culpable parties from liability.

4. "It's a little ridiculous for them to have free roam of
everything and anything,” said Tim Bauer, who gets angrier
the more he talks about his recent drive across Nebraska.
“That's really not good use of time when you have 5-or-6
officers walking around one place. How many vehicles
went by that actually were carrying drugs while we were
standing there?”

5. The Wisconsin man has a place outside Grand Junction,
Colorado. This spring, when he was driving back home and
crossed into western Nebraska on Interstate 80 – his 12-
week old puppy needed a restroom break. He pulled off the
interstate and parked on the base of an entrance ramp. The
Nebraska State Patrol pulled up behind him.

6. Troopers informed him that it's illegal to park on the
entrance ramp. Law enforcement had probable cause to
stop him. "They told me they were going to run a drug dog
around my truck,” said Bauer. For an hour investigators
poured through his truck and trailer. “They proceeded to
search the whole vehicle and got done. They told me they
didn't find anything and I could leave. No 'Sorry' or 'Sorry
for wasting your time.' No 'Sorry for the embarrassment.'”
Tim Bauer wondered, how many others with out-of-state
plates have gone through the same thing?

7. "I changed my focus to that,” said Omaha criminal defense
attorney Dan Stockmann, who saw such an increase in
cases in the last year, he now specializes in representing
those arrested for drugs along Interstate 80 in Nebraska –
most are from out-of-state. "We're talking Wisconsin,
Minnesota, Iowa, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New York,
Indiana, New Jersey, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Georgia."

old male college students who pooled their money together
to buy weed in Colorado to sell back at college. But he adds
-- many of the people arrested have user amounts -- they're
not dealers.

9. "The conflict of law problem we're having between
Colorado and Nebraska -- is really highlighted when you
talk about the medical marijuana client -- such as the
Coloradan with Crohn's Disease - has a prescription for it
and brings it back east to visit relatives are friends,”
explained Stockmann. “She thinks she's doing nothing
wrong like bring Oxycontin or Hydrocodone with her like
we would if we had a valid prescription. Only it's illegal
here."

10. We asked Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson -- the
state's top law enforcer who has sued Colorado over the
differing drug laws -- whether law enforcement is targeting
out-of-state plates. "I don't think that's true,” he told me in a
phone call from his office in Lincoln. He added that
"individual out-of-state license plates are not used as
criteria" when making a traffic stop. So what do the
numbers say? The Nebraska State Patrol provided data for
the last year-and-a-half to WOWT 6 News.

11. We analyzed the spreadsheets and found that for the first 6-
months of 2015, 56% of the citations issued by troopers for
possession and the sale of drugs went to those with out-of-
state licenses. For the same time period, Nebraskans
received 44% of the drug citations from the Nebraska State
Patrol. For those wondering if the out-of-state tickets are
going to Colorado drivers, we analyzed the data and found
that 9% of the total tickets for drugs issued by the Nebraska
State Patrol were written residents of The Rocky Mountain
State. Colorado drivers received 16% of the tickets issued
