This document provides information about an online mathematics course, including instructors, required websites and coursework, grading policies, and testing requirements. Students must complete assignments on Moodle and Aleks, work a minimum of 2-4 hours per day, pass one proctored test by July 10th, complete the Aleks Final by July 24th, and take the district final exam by July 29th. The course grade is calculated based on Aleks mastery, weekly assignments, and final exams. Strict protocols are in place for proctored exams to ensure academic integrity.

5. The Moodle
There are two Moodle course you must enroll
in.
The first course can be found under the
A2 Virtual+: Mathematics: Class Name.
From this site, you will find your assignments
that need to be completed to complete this
course.
For Math Analysis B, Algebra 2B, & Algebra 1B
there will be lessons you must do on the
moodle.
6. The Moodle
The second course can be found under
A2 Virtual+: Online – Summer 2015
This course is where you will do your
weekly progress checks.
Every class will have weekly
assignments that must be submitted
before the deadline. (Sunday at 11:55
p.m.)
8. Grade
This course grade is your current grade.
75% of your grade will be ALEKS mastery. This
will be determined by the last ALEKS Final you
take.
5% of your grade will be based on the weekly
assignments.
20% of your grade will be the district final exam
grade.
The district final and ALEKS final exam must be
completed for each semester class.

10. Completing Topics in ALEKS
Complete topics in one of two ways:
Correctly answer a question on the initial
assessment.
Working on topics from the ALEKS pie and
then passing them on the assessments.
12. Tests
The ALEKS program will generate the tests:
• after so many hours of work
• after you have completed a certain number of topics.
If you answer the problem correctly it will remain in
your pie.
If you answer incorrectly, you will need to practice
more problems and then it will come up on future
tests.
13. Tests(cont..)
The test will contain questions that you
may not have seen before. For those
questions you can either click “I have not
learned this” or try to answer the problem.
If you get it correct you will not need to
practice the topic in the pie.
15. Requirements
If taking one semester, you need to work at
least two hours per day. If taking two
semesters, you need to work at least 4
hours per day.
One proctored test by July 10, 2015.
ALEKS Final by July 24, 2015
District final exam by July 29, 2015.
16. Requirements
You can take the Aleks Final and District
Final Exam before those dates.
You must email your instructor at least
two days before you take a proctored test.
If you do not email, there is the possibility
that you will not be able to take a
proctored test that day.

Exceptions
No office hours July 3rd.
Plan on arriving at least 1.5 hours before the
end of the session to take a proctored
assessment.
18. Completing 2 semesters
Deadlines on the moodle and Aleks are
for one semester.
Must complete the 1st semester by July
10th.
Aleks final taken by July 10th counts as
the proctored test.

Behavior resulting in a grade of zero on
the Aleks Final and District Final:
Talking to anyone
Use of cell phones/electronic devices
Use of online resources
Use of any written materials
