This document discusses the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education, specifically their integration into commerce education at the higher secondary level. It defines ICT and outlines their significance in education, including benefits like access to varied learning resources, immediacy of information, collaborative learning, and a multimedia approach. E-learning is discussed as technology-based learning delivered electronically. Advantages include flexible learning times and locations and reduced costs, while disadvantages include upfront instructor training and equipment expenses. Traditional classrooms are compared to online classrooms, noting features like passive vs. active learning. The role of ICT like the internet and tools like PowerPoint in commerce education is also covered.
Information and communication technologies (ICT) are simply technologies arising fromscientific and technological progress in computer sciences, electronics andtelecommunications. They enable us to process, store, retrieve and disseminate valuableinformation in text, sound and video form. In an increasing interconnected world, brought about by the application of technological advances to all sectors of society, quality education necessitates active and innovative exploration to maximize the benefits of ICT and developand maintain the partnerships that use of ICT in education requires. This calls for re-conceptualising and restructuring the educational enterprise, so as to confront thetechnological challenges of this millennium. With rapid changes within society and radical transformations in the way people acquire knowledge, new teaching paradigms arerequired, ones that tune educational systems to modern times and ensure quality trainingfor large numbers of persons.

Information Technology In Education
Information Technology in Education, effects of the continuing developments in information technology (IT) on education.
The pace of change brought about by new technologies has had a significant effect on the way people live, work, and play worldwide. New and emerging technologies challenge the traditional process of teaching and learning, and the way education is managed. Information technology, while an important area of study in its own right, is having a major impact across all curriculum areas. Easy worldwide communication provides instant access to a vast array of data, challenging assimilation and assessment skills. Rapid communication, plus increased access to IT in the home, at work, and in educational establishments, could mean that learning becomes a truly lifelong activity—an activity in which the pace of technological change forces constant evaluation of the learning process itself.

The educational sector has opened opportunities for entrepreneurship. Online learning has become a new trend in the constantly changing world and IT solutions have provided ways for it. Many such promising companies and startups have started coming up and a sector known as EdTech (a combination of education and technology which was made possible with the help of IT solutions) started growing up with billions invested in it around the globe. It is thus one of the fastest-growing sectors as it aims to make education feasible and accessible from any corner of the world. Vocational education as such is gaining more attendance in today’s world as there is a high demand for skilled and specialized people. Governments around the world are hugely investing in the skill development of their citizens. The purpose of this paper is to review the newly formed sector known as EdTech and analyze the role of Information Technology (IT) in creating opportunities for entrepreneurship. Further going on how in return entrepreneurship is transforming education (Sambamurthy, Bharadwaj, & Grover, 2003). A sample of 335 respondents has been surveyed to know the role and significance of information technology in creating Entrepreneurial opportunities in vocational education. Survey method and factor analysis are used to get the results. The study concludes that there are so many significant roles of information technology in creating Entrepreneurial opportunities in vocational education.

TEACHING AND LEARNING WITH ICT TOOLS: ISSUES AND CHALLENGESIJCI JOURNAL
The students nowadays are more friendly with tech devices. So, to make it less boring need to start
innovative ways that involve technology. Teaching via ICT tools have the potential to make a change in the
academic sector. It is a dynamic learning method. It provides more benefits as compared to the traditional
blackboard and chalks learning. The whole process of education can sometimes feel tedious for students. In
this digital era, ICT use in the classroom is important for giving students opportunities to learn and apply
the required 21st century skills. Hence studying the issues and challenges related to ICT use in teaching
and learning can assist teachers in overcoming the obstacles and become successful technology users. With
the advent of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in education, teachers form their own
beliefs about the role of ICT as a teaching tool, the value of ICT for student learning outcomes and their
own personal confidence and competency. Barriers exist in integrating ICT in teaching and learning. The
barriers are extrinsic to the teacher and include lack of resources, time, access and technical support.
Globally, educational systems are adopting new technologies to integrate ICT in the teaching and learning process, to prepare students with the knowledge and skills they need in their subject matter. Latent fingerprints lifted from crime scenes often contain overlapping prints, which are
difficult to separate and match by state-of-the-art fingerprint matchers. The methods that have been
proposed to separate overlapping fingerprints and successful matching previously suffer from limited
accuracy of the estimated orientation field. In this paper, the robustness of overlapping fingerprints
separation is increased, particularly for low quality images. This algorithm reconstructs the
orientation fields of component prints by modeling fingerprint orientation fields. To facilitate this,
orientation cues of component fingerprints are utilized, which are manually marked by fingerprint
examiners. The effectiveness of this model has been evaluated.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

3. INTRODUCTION
It is difficult and even may be impossible to imagine future learning environments that are
not supported in one way or another by Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT).When looking at the current widespread diffusion and use of ICT in modern societies,
especially by the young the so called digital generation –then it should be clear that ICT will
affect the complete learning process today and in the future.
In other words , a widespread belief that ICTs have an
important role to play in changing and modernising educational system and ways of learning.
Information Technology (IT) and computer networks are becoming an
important part of the life. IT and computers are widely used to expand teaching possibilities.
As education is a complex process in which human and technical resources should be used
carefully, concepts related to teaching and learning have changed radically. Computer and
related technologies are the widely used, effective and excellent visualisation media and
hence these are widely used all over the world .
In India significant developments in the use of IT
have taken place in the industrial and commercial sectors. IT have wide application in the use
of educational sector also. It is essential that the educational sector specifically the higher
education sector adopts and integrates IT to improve quality and productivity. The IT with its
versatility ,can accelerate ones ability to solve many problems related to teaching, research
and administration that are encountered.
In the area of dynamic changes in the field of
commerce ,trade and industry ,IT has a pivotal role to play in the education of that
discipline. The role of IT in commerce education goes far beyond the direct use of
instructional devices.
4. WHAT IS ICT?
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is an umbrella term that includes any
communication device or application , encompassing radio, television, cellular phones,
computers and networks ,hardware and software ,satellite systems and so on as well as the
various and applications associated with them such as video conferencing and distance
learning.
According to the European Commission ,the importance of ICT lies in the
technology itself than its ability to create greater access to information and communication in
undeserved populations. Many countries around the world have established organisations for
the promotion of ICTs ,because it is feared that unless less technologically advanced areas
have a chance to catch up.
Significance of ICT in education
Access to variety of learning resources
In the era of technology, IT aids plenty of resources to enhance the teaching skills and
learning ability. With the help of IT now it is easy to provide audio visual education. The
learning resources are being widens and widen. Now with this vivid and vast technique as
part of the IT curriculum, learners are encouraged to regard computers as tools to be used in
all aspects of their studies. In particular, they need to make use of the new multimedia
technologies to communicate ideas, describe projects, and order information in their work.
5. Immediacy to information
IT has provided immediacy to education. Now in the year of computers and web networks the
pace of imparting knowledge is very very fast and one can be educated anywhere at any time.
New IT has often been introduced into well-established patterns of working and living
without radically altering them. For example, the traditional office, with secretaries working
at keyboards and notes being written on paper and manually exchanged, has remained
remarkably stable, even if personal computers have replaced typewriters.
Now in Any time learning
the year of computers and web networks the pace of imparting knowledge is very very fast
and one can be educated .One can study whenever he wills irrespective of whether it is day or
night and irrespective of being in India or in US because of the boom in IT
Collaborative learning
Now IT has made it easy to study as well as teach in groups or in clusters. With online we
can be unite together to do the desired task. Efficient postal systems, the telephone (fixed and
mobile), and various recording and playback systems based on computer technology all have
a part to play in educational broadcasting in the new millennium. The Internet and its Web
sites are now familiar to many children in developed countries and among educational elites
elsewhere, but it remains of little significance to very many more, who lack the most basic
means for subsistence.
Multimedia approach to education
Audio-Visual Education, planning, preparation, and use of devices and materials that involve
sight, sound, or both, for educational purposes. Among the devices used are still and motion
pictures, filmstrips, television, transparencies, audiotapes, records, teaching machines,
6. computers, and videodiscs. The growth of audio-visual education has reflected developments
in both technology and learning theory.
Studies in the psychology of learning suggest that the use of audio-visuals in education has
several advantages. All learning is based on perception, the process by which the senses gain
information from the environment. The higher processes of memory and concept formation
cannot occur without prior perception. People can attend to only a limited amount of
information at a time; their selection and perception of information is influenced by past
experiences. Researchers have found that, other conditions being equal, more information is
taken in if it is received simultaneously in two modalities (vision and hearing, for example)
rather than in a single modality. Furthermore, learning is enhanced when material is
organized and that organization is evident to the student.
These findings suggest the value of audio-visuals in the educational process. They can
facilitate perception of the most important features, can be carefully organized, and can
require the student to use more than one modality.
Authentic and up to date information
The information and data which are available on the net is purely correct and up to date.
Internet, a collection of computer networks that operate to common standards and enable the
computers and the programs they run to communicate directly provides true and correct
information.
Online library
Internets support thousands of different kinds of operational and experimental services one of
which is online library. We can get plenty of data on this online library.
7. As part of the IT curriculum, learners are encouraged to regard computers as tools to be used
in all aspects of their studies. In particular, they need to make use of the new multimedia
technologies to communicate ideas, describe projects, and order information in their work.
This requires them to select the medium best suited to conveying their message, to structure
information in a hierarchical manner, and to link together information to produce a
multidimensional document.
E-LEARNING
The term E-Learning is derived from ,electronic learning and refers to technology based
learning or the electronic delivery of learning. It covers a wide range of distributed
knowledge applications and processes, including computer based learning ,web based
learning, virtual classrooms, and digital collaboration. Thus E-Learning includes the delivery
of content via all electronic media, including the internet ,intranets, extranet, satellite
broadcast ,audio/video tapes, interactive TV and CD -ROM .
The term Online Learning although sometimes
used interchangeably with E-Learning .it refers more precisely to web based learning ,which
constitutes just one part of the technology based learning spectrum; learning via internet.
E- Learning is a combination of learning services and
technology to provide high quality integrated learning at anytime and any place. It results
from a new blend of resources , interactivity, performance and structured learning activities
.The methodology followed in E-Learning makes use of various technologies to enhance the
quality of the learning process, by helping full realisation of the educational objectives aimed
at and by catering to the needs of a more diverse learner population with minimal expenditure
.
8. ADVANTAGES OF E-LEARNING
Any time, any where ,any place learning
Reduced cost of training
Uniformity of content
DISADVANTAGES OF E-LEARNING
Instructors requires thorough learning.
Time consuming.
Expensive equipments.
Instructors prefer traditional methods.
Technical training and support is needed.

9. INTERNET
Internet is a network of network where thousands of computers are connected to a
world wide network through a common communication protocol.Internet is the
worlds wonder network carrying information on almost any subject under the sun .It
is known as the Information superhighway. People exchange many types of
information in all social contexts on the internet. Libraries and reference books are
accessed through internet .The internet stretches throughout the world with points of
access at libraries in thousands of universities and colleges .
POWERPOINT PRESENTATION
Power point is one of the most powerful presentation –softwares developed by the
Microsoft Corporation. Presentation softwares are used to present an idea ,topic
message, lecture ,information etc on a subject in front of an audience using computer
system and LCD projector. In power point software ,the teachers and students can
develop their own slides in the subject of interest. The term SLIDE is used in power
point denotes the presentation programme files .A slide can be made more attractive
and catching by combining pictures ,graphics ,audio and video clips.
INTERACTIVE CD ROMS
CD Rom (Compact Disc Read Only Memory) are the storage media used to record,
retrieve, read and replay the digitally formatted content of programmes and packages
.The content or topic to be taught are programmed and stored in the CDs with
multimedia features and effect. Such CDs are developed to help the users interact
easily. The students can enter in to a learning game on any relevant aspect of the topic
and can interact with the system even in speech and sound.
10. ROLE OF ICT IN COMMERCE EDUCATION
In the era of dynamic changes in the field of commerce ,trade and industry, IT has a
pivotal role to play in the education of that discipline .The role of IT in commerce
education goes far beyond the direct use of instructional devices .IT can provide
coverage of growing knowledge base associated with the information explosion in all
areas including commerce .IT can meaningfully communicate all types of information
in graphic ,text, audio and video .IT can provide also a broad diversity of learning
activities .These learning activities can be effectively performed using a variety of
techniques and tools designed in tone with the multimedia approach highlighted by
IT.
The roles of computer in the field of commerce education are;
1. Computer as an object of instruction
2. Computer as a tool for instruction and learning
3. Computer assisted instruction
4. Computer managed instruction
5. Computer based testing
CONCLUSION
Technology and ICT have been drivers that have re-engineered our society and commerce in
recent years. Some might say they have presented opportunities for change that have lead to
unique benefits. Just as in any market, we have seen both pioneers and early adopters and, at
the opposite end of the spectrum ,those school that slow and reluctant to accept change.
In terms of technology we are starting to see individuals
using multiple devices in a variety of ways. The days of the ICT suite are starting to look
numbered, other than perhaps for basic skills training use in and assessment. The technology
11. is needed when and where the learning process takes place. The “Cloud” is becoming the
home of the information repository and will deliver applications and programs to our devices
as and when required. Devices will become cheaper. Applications will also become free or,
because of higher volumes, will be available at lower cost. All this relies heavily on suitable
infrastructure being available, but as we move to Digital TV, relatively high digital capacity
will be available from the bandwidth released by analogue transmissions.
Much of the technology already exists, is likely to have a big impact on our lives. By this we
mean the at sufficiently high volume and low cost to be pervasive. Empowering our
educators and encouraging co-operation and collaboration across agencies should be
fundamental. The technology exists to allow safe and secure sharing of information at local
level and across agencies without the need to structure national sized data repositories.
Information can be shared by local professionals and their clients with integrity and
information security devolved to the professionals.
