1. The purpose
1.1 Measuring the Ethical Assets of Individual Farmers via their FPOs, FPCs and RIs; instituting CREAM Report; Tracking CAGR

constituents vis-à-vis the Policies, Practices and regulatory bodies; enabling Farmers towards a

PoS - eCommerce apart.
1.2 Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58 per cent of India’s population. By
measuring their value system that are traditionally good, a formidable fortress of the system is
created and enhanced. Farmers then are protected from being exploited. Individual Farmer status by CREAM Rating is done.
1.3 Gross Value Added by agriculture, forestry and fishing is estimated at Rs 17.67 trillion (US$ 274.23 billion) in FY18. A bottom-
up approach from Farmer level ensures via a sustained Value System, stability to India’s Economic, Environmental and Social
order.
2. Market Size1
2.1 During 2017-18 crop year, food grain production is estimated at record 284.83 million tonnes. In 2018-19, Government of
India is targeting food grain production of 285.2 million tonnes. Milk production was estimated at 165.4 million tonnes during
FY17, while meat production was 7.4 million tonnes. As of September 2018, total area sown with kharif crops in India reached
105.78 million hectares.
2.2 India is the second largest fruit producer in the world. Production of horticulture crops is estimated at record 306.82 million
tonnes (mt) in 2017-18 as per third advance estimates.
2.3 Total agricultural exports from India grew at a CAGR of 16.45 per cent over FY10-18 to reach US$ 38.21 billion in FY18.
Between Apr-Oct 2018 agriculture exports were US$ 21.61 billion. India is also the largest producer, consumer and exporter of
spices and spice products. Spice exports from India reached US$ 3.1 billion in 2017-18. Tea exports from India reached a 36 year
high of 240.68 million kgs in CY 2017 while coffee exports reached record 395,000 tonnes in 2017-18.
2.4 Food & Grocery retail market in India was worth US$ 380 billion in 2017.
3. Connecting the Dots
3.1 The end consumer is public at large. The starting point is a farmer. In the context of
applying Agri or Horti- codex standards, farmer is a willing partner, middlemen is a
disappointment, so far. Hence:
3.2 Establish Relationship between Profits and Action, right through the Value chain.
3.3 Identify the fault lines.
3.4 The cost consequences of past failures reflect today.
3.5 So, for the future, create a new set of management strategies. The new strategy is Measuring by Cost Consequence TODAY.
3.6. Connect the dots looking backwards, extrapolate to the future. Establish growth rates and Reduction Rates, CAGR and CARR.
Then convert every dot for today by CDGR and CDRR. Construct Value: Deconstruct Valueless.
