• Identify and assess child and family needs and evaluate, coordinate and ensure
necessary services are provided based on their individual case, abuse allegations,

conferring the clients progress with said providers, and through one-on-one
education of parents on their mental and behavioral health in the context of how it
effects their parental caregiver protective capacities.
• Develop parents' awareness of behavior patterns through education on proper
caregiver protective capacities, prevention of regression to safety-threat state
(putting a child in immediate danger), and providing ongoing support of
progressive behavior.
• Design and implement behavioral health plans and strategies for parents with
mental disorders and/or addictions
• Testify in court in regards to child welfare case progress as needed
• Maintain a fast-paced yet flexible schedule in order to complete case load tasks in
a timely and efficient manner.
• Act as the central point of contact for judicial system, the Department of Children
and Families, and the agency (Kids First of Florida) on the management and
progress of the case.
• Revise Case Plan to meet the needs of the family based on their progress (or lack
thereof) in order to ensure the safety of the child.
• Analyze the data provided in each assigned case in order to understand key
interactions and patterns in behavior of offending parents in child abuse cases.
• Ensure quality of work, interpersonal relations and report was maintained while
thriving in fast-paced, changing, and unpredictable situations, such as those with
an unstable parent threatening the security of the child.
• Work closely with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs when clients
were also veterans/active duty members of the armed forces to ensure clients were
receiving targeted and effective assistance and treatment for diminished social and
parental behaviors.
• Manage high-volume, high-priority case load while overseeing the progress of all
clients/ families with dexterity and flexibility.
• Highly developed communication skills for discussing a case at all levels, with
the ability to clearly articulate the work, issues and challenges as they arise in a
manner other stakeholders will understand quickly.
