This document discusses GoodAI's mission to develop general artificial intelligence as quickly as possible to help humanity and understand the universe. GoodAI sees AI as a tool to augment human abilities, and discusses both narrow AI applications like using AI to help prevent pressure ulcers in hospitals through monitoring patient positioning, as well as long term goals for developing general AI through gradual learning techniques like curriculum learning and meta-learning to help AI systems understand human values.

assume the role of a teacher, and teach AI
agents new skills. Players won’t interact
with the game world directly, only
indirectly, via teaching.
