The Salt Lake Winter Olympics of 2002 was running $379 million short of its
revenue goals, in 1999, when the OC decided to hire X as president
and CEO. With allegations of bribery and security concerns after 9/11,
the event’s future looked so bleak that there were plans in place to
move the Games away from the States entirely. The move to bring in X
seemed to have changed the Games’ fortunes entirely, eventually
going ahead as originally planned, with a surplus of $100 million.
This was cited as a key example of X’s efficiency and ability to handle crisis, when
he would seek a much greater job, 10 years later.

The logic behind this combination of shapes and colours was
originally thought to represent all the continents.
However it was quickly debunked, and the clarification
was, that every country to feature in the early editions of
this event was going to have at least one of the colours,
on their flag, while the shape represented unity and inter-

Fenjves, purportedly from X’s point of view, where he supposedly
details a hypothetical crime, one that he had earlier so vehemently
denied.
While X’s representatives initially denied his involvement in writing the book,
he later went on to accept $600,000 from the publishers,
ReganBooks to falsely claim, that, he indeed had written it, and to
appear in an interview supporting the same.

clarified why he sported something when he turned up for the

before defeating them. This match ended in a draw, with
Carlsen only just escaping defeat, further pointing towards
possible use of hypnosis in his wins.

after one of the most infamous revelations by a sportsperson,
previously regarded as the undisputed greatest in his sport.

Maxwell, because of his similarity in build and demeanour to the
fictional character by the same name.
The character appears in a 1975 movie, based on a 1962 book. The
movie is universally regarded as one of the best ever.
