Youth court volunteers will prosecute, defend and serve as
bailiffs and jurors in a real sentencing hearing of juvenile
offenders in Shelby County.

Congratulations Overton High Orchestra Students -Journey
Hogan, Jerald Walker and Kenneth Gillespie. Out of 5,500
hopefuls they have been selected to travel and perform at New
York City’s Carnegie Hall (High School Honor’s Performance
Series). They have also won spots in TN. All West & All State
Orchestra.
The P.O.W. Club is currently collecting non-perishable food
items (canned & dry goods) for our 5th Annual Holiday Food
Drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank. Students are invited
to donate through their first period class between today and
Friday December 4th. The first period class that donates the
largest # of items will receive a celebratory breakfast during the
last week of this semester. Thank you for your support! See any
P.O.W. Club member for further details.
OHS Pride will hold weekly meetings every Monday from
3:15pm – 4:15pm. Come and join to be apart of an accepting
environment. While discussing LGBT related issues and
working on related projects.
The FHAO Leadership Group would like to invite students
grades 9 – 12 to join them on their upcoming field trip to
Washington, D.C. This will be a great way to spend your Spring
Break. For details on the trip, please see Ms. Mosby or Dr.
Taylor.
Any seniors who want to send pictures to the yearbook staff for

This is a reminder that the P.O.W. Club will be accepting
donations for the Holiday Food Drive up until December 4th
(Friday). The 1st period class that collects the most cans will be
awarded free breakfast! The current leading class is Mr.
