This document summarizes an oral health web conference that provided 5 ways for programs to grow family understanding of oral health: 1) focus on how people learn best, 2) create a newsletter, 3) plan special events, 4) improve staff-parent communication, and 5) implement peer education. Participants were asked to discuss oral health topics they have delivered to parents and curricula used. The conference covered effective communication strategies and a case study. Participants were then asked to discuss how they would implement one of the 5 ways discussed.

A healthy design consist of adaptable, re-usable chunks and a clear vision. The benefits of developing a usable & living designguide is often overlooked. As a result, many products fail to deliver consistent designs efficiently and loose time-to-market. In large corporations, with many ongoing projects, designers and developers continuously working on the same product, how can UX practitioners prevent delivering an inconsistent user experience leading to less intuitive interactions and duplicate code slowing down page-speed? From a large corporation viewpoint, this session looks at the steps towards creating a consistent and efficient design.
Gina Haughton, Paul Weber, and Joan Whitman from Cardinal Stritch University will discuss the successes and lessons learned by partnering with Teachscape to provide an innovative and fresh Masters of Education program.
The information in these slides was shared by Bev Schumacker, ECE Consultant for The Source for Learning, during the Annual Conference for the Wisconssin Child Care Administrators Association (WCCAA) in Elkhart Lake, WI on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Explore strong family relationships and the journey to develop them. Consider the importance of family partnerships. Discover obstacles that challenge family partnerships. Embrace a variety of approaches to building stronger family relationships.
Increasing Parent and Teacher Involvement: Employing Research Discoveries to ...Bilinguistics
Involving caregivers and teachers in the therapeutic process is a major component of successful therapy. However, social, familial, personal, and environmental factors can make caregiver and teacher involvement difficult.
In this course we identify the benefits of family involvement and will then provide five research-based strategies for how to improve our interactions with families and teachers. We refer to the strategies as SMILE (Sign, Model, Imitate, Label, and Expand). These strategies have been found to improve communication skills in young children. We will define the SMILE strategies, provide the rationale behind them, and demonstrate how to implement the strategies when serving an early-childhood population.

The personality test that you've just taken is based on the Five
Factor Model of personality. Personality psychologists believe this
is a pretty good description of the broad traits or general areas
that go to make up a person's core personality. Personality isn't
set in stone, however, so keep that in mind if you see anything
you'd like to alter below. Teenagers and young adults should take
the below results with a bit of caution, as their personalities are
still under development (personality is generally pretty well formed
by one's mid 20's).
What do each of the 5 traits mean?

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
