• The Open Computers and Software Inventory Next Generation is a tool
for "discovery" of hardware and software on a network.
• It is an open source project based on tools of great acceptance by the
market: Apache, MySQL, PHP and PERL.

scanning 1,000,000 of computers a day using a server bi-Xeon 3 GHz with
4 GB RAM.

After importing the configuration item, it
may be used in Work Orders and
displayed in management Reports.

data by the OCS are
imported periodically
for a Supravizio
routine.

7. Processes for Configuration Management
During the import of hardware and software of the OCS
database Supravizio identifies events (new hardware, remove the
memory, etc.) and notifies the process engine. The process analyst can then
model a workflow for configuration management and handle these events.
