The funeral service for Charles Samuel Stearns will be held on Friday, October 26, 2063 at 2pm at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Pastor Charlie Moses officiating. Mr. Stearns passed away on October 23, 2063 at his home in Leon, WV at age 70 and is survived by his wife Jane Stearns and brother Abe Stearns. He was a member of the New Hope Bible Baptist Church and served in the Army during the Afghanistan War before retiring in 2031.

Students are admitted for free with KU IDs while non-students must purchase tickets. The women's and men's basketball teams will be introduced and participate in a scrimmage with the men's team divided into Crimson vs. Blue teams. Head coach Bill Self will introduce new freshman players Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre.

St. John's Lutheran Church has endured many trials over its 120-year history. It began in the late 1800s as a humble congregation. When its first new church was locked up for four years, some congregations may have given up, but St. John's remained strong and viable by providing its members with the word of God. The document includes photos documenting the church's original building from 1915, a remodel in 1952, and a new church built in 1969, showing the evolution of the church facilities over the decades.

Obituary
Clayton Lightner of Winfield, West Virginia passed away in his sleep at age 81 on December 28th, 2080. He is survived by his wife, brother, two children, and four grandchildren. Clayton received a chemistry degree from Marshall University and worked as a pharmacist for many years in the community. He enjoyed football, both playing and coaching his son. His viewing will be on Wednesday with the funeral on Thursday morning.

Guidance is also holding university and college application workshops during lunch on December 5th.

Citizenship questions
I got a 96% on a test about American history and current events, answering 48 out of 50 questions correctly. I believe it is important for Americans to understand their country's history and stay informed about modern issues. Getting a high grade shows that I know a great deal about past and present U.S. history. Most Americans only scored an average of 68%, indicating a lack of basic historical knowledge and care for their country, which is unfortunate.
My response to the blue eye
The document expresses mixed feelings about a Blue Eye, Green Eye exercise. While the purpose was to convey the point of racism, the white students participating had no connection to racism and exposing them to hardships black students never experienced seemed pointless. Racism is brought up too much as a scapegoat for controversial issues rather than addressing the real problem, which is the continuation of racism being such an important issue when it is the opposite - the world is tough and people will say things others disapprove of.
Immigration reform
Illegal immigration is a complex issue with no clear answers. While some argue for deportation and others see no harm, the reality is that immigrants come to the U.S. for economic opportunities not available in their impoverished home countries like Mexico. Rather than reforming immigration itself, the citizenship process may need reforms such as making the guidelines and procedures clearer in order to encourage following legal channels.
Fish bowl
Billy was a lonely fish who watched the other fish play together each day from his separate bowl. He decided to try jumping from his bowl into the other fish's bowl to join them. Though initially too weak, Billy trained himself every day to jump higher. After weeks of practice, Billy was finally strong enough to make the leap successfully, jumping to a new life of happiness with the other fish.

Survival 101
An avian flu pandemic has killed off the human population except for 13 survivors who take shelter in an underground bunker. However, the bunker can only support 4 people long-term. The group must decide which 4 individuals will stay based on their skills and which 8 will be sacrificed so that resources last 2 years until the virus passes. They consider the occupations and abilities of each person to argue for who has the best chance of ensuring survival.

- 1. Funeral service for Charles Samuel Stearns, 70, will be Friday, October 26, 2063, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with the Pastor Charlie Moses officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 - 7 p.m. Mr. Stearns died Tuesday, October 23, 2063, at his home in Leon, WV. He is survived by his wife, Jane Stearns and his brother, Abe Stearns. Pallbearers will be Abe Stearns, Matt Andrews, Jeremy George, Greg Turner, James Turner and Joey Turner. Mr. Stearns was a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran serving during the Afghanistan War. Mr. Stearns retired from the Army in 2031.
