10. Park Construction Budget = $9,440,000
FUNDING

11.  Current California drought is the worst in history. The
rules, regulations and restrictions regarding outdoor
water use are changing daily.
 CSD will have to assess conditions as project
progresses to determine affect on design and/or
construction.
 CSD currently designs with reduced
turf and water conservation in mind.
 If drought persists, project
construction may be delayed/
modified accordingly.
DROUGHT CONDITIONS

12.  CSD traditionally designed playgrounds with a
combination of rubber surfacing and wood fiber.
 Recent product failures and expensive replacement
costs have caused staff to reconsider the use of rubber
surfacing.
 Rubber surfacing is double the cost
of wood fiber.
 Both surfaces meet current standards
for playground safety.
 Wood fiber will be used at Oasis Park.
