The Joint Genomic Center Ltd was founded in 2007 as a joint venture company between
Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski” and the Agricultural Academy. In 2008 the Ministry of
Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Finance
supported the establishment of the JGC infrastructure by granting 4.1m levs
