Amphibians

catch insects.

SALAMANDER

OVIPAROUS.
The parents
DO NOT look
after their
eggs.
Baby
amphibians are
called
TADPOLES.
They have
TAILS to swim
and they
breathe
through GILLS.
The process of
changing from
a tadpole into
an adult
amphibian is
METAMORPHOSIS

There are two
main types of
amphibians.
Amphibians
WITHOUT a tail,
like frogs and
toads.
TOAD
Amphibians
WITH a tail, like
salamanders
and newts.
