Nottingham’s physical education departments’ mission is to create safe, social 
and physically fit students that will have the proper and necessary knowledge 
to continue living a physically active lifestyle in order to achieve lifetime fitness.
Grading Policy:

Dress Policy: 
-Athletic Bottoms such as shorts or sweat pants. NO JEANS 
-Athletic Tops such as tee-shirts and sweats shirts. NO TANKTOPS 
-SNEAKERS ONLY- No exemptions! 
**If you are caught wearing jeans under your clothes for P.E., you will be given a maximum of three points for 
that day. Any further violations of this policy will deem you as unprepared and a score of a zero will be given!** 
Locker Room Policy: 
-Entry doors and locker room doors will be locked 5 minutes after the late bell rings. Do not ask a teacher to open 
it after this time has elapsed. 
-Locker room will be cleared within the first 8 minutes of class. 
-Everything left in locker rooms MUST BE LOCKED. 
-Any personal items left unlocked are students’ responsibility. 
-Students WILL NOT be allowed entry into athletic(team room) locker rooms during school hours.
Class Make Up Policy: 
-Physical education class make ups will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday only. 
-You must sign in with the make-up teacher under your scheduled teachers’ notebook/sign in sheet. 
-Class make-up will consist of 25 laps around the gym for cardiovascular exercise. 
-You can make-up a maximum of 2 classes per make-up session (50 laps). 
-10 participant capacity per make-up session. Please plan ahead or you might get left out! 
-Only 1 field trip will be excused per marking period. As per field trip permission slips, students will be 
required to make-up all work missed on their 2nd field trip in that same marking period. 
****Student may not use make up classes as a replacement 
for participation in his/her regularly scheduled PE class****
