  • 8. Why did I just tell you all that?! And what has it got to do with marketing? • You need to get people’s attention with engaging content • Use content that is non sales related and informative • No kittens! • Grow your audience • Use the 80/20 rule don’t do the hard sell all of the time.

Share and create Every businesses strategy for doing this is different but here's some general ideas: • Share industry news and tips • Share news, pictures, videos etc about where your business is based • Share your good news stories and those of other businesses • Share content almost anyone can relate to every so often • Think creatively about what makes your customers 'tick' and remember the 80/20 split.
  • 10. Now let’s measure it... • You won’t get it right first time • Social Media and digital marketing is about engaging with your audience. To do that well takes time and to do it even better you have to analyse what you've done to make sure it's working!

(Up from 40.80points) • Facebook page post views: 95,024 (the number of people who viewed content during the period) • Twitter Impressions: 92,800 (Tweets seen by target audience in the period) • Facebook like increase to 910 (up from 401) • Twitter followers increase to 854 (up from 682) • Video views: 4323 (YouTube: 405 Facebook: 3918) • Website hits: 2908 • Competition entries: 99
