This document provides instructions for organizing an AP World History notebook. It recommends including a table of contents with page numbers, titles, and grades in three columns. Assignments should be color coded by type (quotes, agendas, homework, etc.). Each unit should start on a new page labeled with the page number. Assignments should be written on subsequent pages using the color codes. Handouts can be glued onto pages. The organized notebook will contain all coursework and notes for the year.

Put this key in the upper left hand corner of the first page in
your notebook.
These are the colors you will use when writing each of
these assignments in your “Table of Contents” and in
rest of the notebook.

6. LABELING THE TITLE PAGE
 Put your name, class name and period and my
name in the upper right hand corner of the first
page of your notebook.
 On the title line of the first page in your notebook,
label this page “Table of Contents.”
 Organize the entire page into 3 columns:
 1st column on the left hand side of the page, about 2
inches. Label this at the top of the column “Page #”
 2nd column in the center of the page, about 5 inches
wide. Label this at the top of the column “Title.”
 3rd column on the right hand side of the page, about 1
inch wide. Label this at the top of the column “Grade.”
