The city of Malaga hosted on 18th February the second Edition of the Mediterranean CRUISE
EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2010. This event brought together more than 160 managers and executives
of major shipping lines operating in Europe, representatives Port of Spain and Europe as well as travel
agencies, tour operators, community members port and tourism industry in general.
The Third Annual SPANISH EXCELLENCE CRUISE AWARDS has been sponsored by Málagaport,
Turism board of Costa del Sol, Chamber of Commerce, shipping and industry of Malaga, RENFE-AVE,
Cajasol, Promotur, Canary Islands, Logitravel and Intercruises.

The awards in 14 categories, are the result of a macro survey made by CRUISES NEWS MEDIA GOUP

Spain but throughout Europe, and the results are highly valued by industry, since it is the opinion of the
users. The event hosted by Daniel Rovira and Andrés Mira was celebrated at the building of Turism Board
of Andalucia and , attended by the senior management of companies, Royal Caribbean. MSC Cruises,
Costa Cruises, Pullmantur, Iberocruceros, Quail Travel, Cunard, Carnival Cruises, Norwegian Cruise
Line, Holland America, Seabourn, Silversea ect.. as well as presidents and executives of ports of Ceuta,
Almeria, Barcelona, Cadiz, Motril, Cartagena, Castellon and Baleares,SUNCRUISES AND CRUISES IN
THE ATLANTIC ISLANDS, which includes the Canary Islands and Portuguese ports.
At the international level of assistance sector representatives of Malta, Venice, Dubrovnik, Split, Livorno,
Turkey, Croatia, United Kingdom and Germany supported the projection and reputation of this event
beyond our borders.
In this Edition we launched the EXCELLENCE CRUISE FORUM, summit knowledge in the international
cruise sector, which brought together the most prestigious professionals in this sector, local and

Wild, Natalia Bóveda. Inernational Panel: Patricia Castan, Emiliano González, Bernardo Echevarría, Mario
