Unlike any other continent in the world, Africa offers a lengthy menu of breathtaking scenery, unparalleled wildlife and richly diverse cultures. Kenya does not disappoint the traveler looking for a quintessential “African Experience” with inviting tropical beaches, evocative scenery typical of the movie "Out of Africa", wildlife safaris, Kilimanjaro views and a mosaic of different cultures and traditions that leave guests with a feeling of Karibu, a Swahili word meaning “welcome home visitors”.
The student's goals are to make the first fifteen boys rugby team before their upcoming tournament, control their speaking by thinking before talking, and improve their writing level. In class, they have been practicing story mapping and webs in reading, writing narratives last term and now focusing on procedural writing, and learning doubling/halving, reversibility, place value, and equal additions in math. Their PE class focused on softball, tag, and is now practicing rugby in preparation for an upcoming tournament where their favorite team is the Warriors.
Without a Compelling Story to Tell, Your Elearning is Just Elearning!Ed Duffy
This document discusses how storytelling is essential for effective eLearning. It notes that people are naturally drawn to stories as they entertain, engage and instruct. Good stories have human elements that connect with the target audience and focus on community or timeframes. Experts say stories enhance attention, create anticipation and increase retention by providing familiar "hooks" to hang information on. The document provides examples of how various clients used storytelling tactics in eLearning to increase relevance, engagement, create dynamic realism and connect content to real-life application. It concludes that stories powerfully bring content to life and into context by illustrating, animating and inviting personal relevance.
