Fastlane is a collection of utilities that work beautifully together without friction. It's now part of Fabric, Twitter's developer tools and development lead by Felix Krause (Twitter: @krausefx) and many other amazing developers.
iOS developers typically spend several times managing provision files, certificates and so many mundane and boring stuffs they've to do with Apple Developer portal and tools. Fastlane tools can help you to right from creating a project to deploy your app to AppStore.
Fastlane has an amazing ability to pass the result of data around each of the utilities in your pipeline. Also the actions helps you to customize and extend your fastlane utilities.
Fastlane often come pre-installed with popular continuous integration servers like CricleCI. Utilities like match can help you a lot to manage your certificates and provision files by securely shari across computers. This works quite handy with with CI servers as well.
Explains implementation steps for running Genymotion device as Android emulator with Jenkins headless server. The logic is tried and tested for concurrent Jenkins builds on Ubuntu server

How to successfully migrate to bazel from maven or gradleNatan Silnitsky
When your code base and dependency graph become big you should consider moving to bazel as your build tool. It's both extremely fast and highly accurate. You'll need to decide and think about 5 key points in order to achieve a successful migration.
How to successfully migrate to Bazel from Maven or Gradle - Riga Dev DaysNatan Silnitsky
At Wix We decided to switch to the Bazel build tool. The result was a dramatic improvement in performance and accuracy.
As Wix Backend grew exponentially with more than 700 micro-services, it became obvious our build times on Maven have been slowing us down. We decided to switch to the Bazel build tool while harnessing the “remote build execution” feature. The result was a dramatic improvement in performance and accuracy of builds.
In this talk, I will share with you how to achieve a successful migration to Bazel from Maven or Gradle, focusing on 5 important areas you have to think about and decide on the right approach for you, ranging from choosing the right build unit granularity to remote caching best practices.
I will also describe and demonstrate some of the available tools in the eco-system that help with the migration and with making everyday work easier.

Rise of the Machines - Automate your DevelopmentSven Peters
When we talk about automation in software development, we immediately think of automated builds and deployments. We may also be using scripts to help make our daily work easier. But this is really just the beginning of the rise of the machines.
I show you how leading developers in our industry are using open source and commercial tools for automating much more. They've got "robots" for monitoring production servers, updating issues, supporting customers, reviewing code, setting up laptops, doing development reporting, conducting customer feedback -- even automating daily standups. In what instances is it useful to automate? In what cases does it not make sense? Automation prevents us from having to do the same thing twice, helps us to work better together, reduces workflow errors and frees up time to write production code. Plus, as it turns out, spending time on automation is fun! Don't be afraid of robots in software development, embrace them! Even if I save you just half an hour a week, this talk will be a beneficial investment of your time.

Deploy Angular to the Cloud (ngBucharest)Simona Cotin
Getting started with Angular is now easier than ever... said no one ever. Yet with the right tool-set we too can create magic. When I code with Angular I can deploy to Azure within minutes. We'll go through a simple development to production workflow. First, we code with a little help from the Angular CLI. Then we build for production - Webpack to the rescue. We then push our code to Github and deploy it to Node on Azure. Mission accomplished, the application is now up in the cloud!
"Project Tye to Tie .NET Microservices", Oleg KarasikFwdays
In this talk, Oleg will explain and show how you can simplify (and maybe even speed up) the development of modern .NET applications based on micro-service architecture and aimed at deployment in Kubernetes. We will also talk about a young and promising Tye project from Microsoft. We will look at what the Tye project is and how it simplifies the development process, both with examples from several .NET microservices and with more complex examples that involve interaction with external services.
The fundamental performance characteristics of Node.js make it ideal for building highly performant microservices for a number of workloads. Translating that into highly responsive, scalable solutions however is still far from easy. This session will not just discuss why Node.js is a natural fit for microservices, but will introduce you to the tools and best practices for creating, building, deploying, monitoring and tracing microservices that are both scalable and fault tolerant, and show through a live demo how do that with minimal effort.
Speakers:
Chris Bailey, Chief Architect, Cloud Native Runtimes, IBM
Beth Griggs, Node.js Developer, IBM
Node.js is a compelling platform that is quickly spreading from startups to the enterprise. As a .NET developer, why should you learn Node.js and where do you start? You will come away from this talk with the evidence and tools you need to be a productive Node.js developer. We'll walk through creating, debugging, and deploying a Node.js project to Microsoft Azure using the Node.js Tools for Visual Studio. We'll also look at popular frameworks and modules, and other learning resources.
Vincent Kok - Microservices 5 things I wish I'd known - Codemotion Milan 2017Codemotion
Microservices are hot! A lot of companies are experimenting with this architectural pattern that greatly benefits the software development process. When adopting new patterns we always encounter that moment where we think 'if only I knew this three months ago'. This talk will be a sneak peak into the world of microservices at Atlassian and reveal what we've learned about microservices: how to arrange, configure and build your code efficiently; deployment and testing; and how to operate effectively in this environment. In this talk you will learn how to immediately apply five simple strategies.
Microservices: 5 Things I Wish I'd Known - Code Motion Milan 2017Vincent Kok
Microservices are still the rage—and for good reason. However, like any other emerging architecture, they’re not a silver bullet and anyone who adopts this architecture will need to learn and identify new patterns, patterns you didn’t need to know about in a monolithic world. This session discusses when to make the switch to a microservice architecture and the patterns Atlassian has identified in building microservices. They include patterns in code organization, configuration management, deployment, resilience, and decomposition. After this session, you will be able to identify whether you should give microservice architecture a try and if so, you will have a toolbox full of patterns to apply to your own situation.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
