Just 30.8% of employees say
they would be comfortable
talking to colleagues about
time off work for mental health
reasons… far lower than time
off for other reasons such as
cold/flu/chest infection (72.5%),
musculoskeletal problems
(67.3%), family illness (61.7%)
and gastrointestinal problems
(49.2%).
Males under 44 would be
happier to talk about time off
work for a hangover (28.6%)
than for mental health issues
(26.9%). Perception and
