Nigel Harris is the Managing Director and President of Ford India. He oversees Ford's operations in Chennai and its new facility in Sanand, Gujarat. Harris has over 30 years of experience at Ford, previously serving as Vice President of Sales & Service for Ford Asia Pacific. He is responsible for managing and growing Ford's integrated manufacturing operations in India as well as leading product programs for Indian and export customers.

Nigel Harris
Title: Managing Director and President, Ford India
Nigel Harris was appointed Managing Director and President of Ford India, effective February 1,
2014. Harris reports directly to David Schoch, Group Vice President and President, Asia Pacific,
Ford Motor Company.
In his role, Harris is responsible for managing and growing the integrated manufacturing
operation of Ford India.
He also leads the charge for product programs to serve both customers in India as well as the
growing export business. As Managing Director and President of Ford India, Nigel oversees the
successful implementation of Ford’s expansion plans, through its operations in Chennai and its
upcoming integrated facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
Harris began his Ford career in 1985 in New Zealand, as a fleet sales analyst. He has held
various positions globally in Ford across Europe, Africa and the Asia Pacific.
Harris previously served as Vice President Sales & Service, Ford Asia Pacific.
Harris has been associated with India operations for long, when he served as the brand
development manager for global B cars during Ford’s entry into the Indian market almost 15
years ago. This has continued through his current role overseeing sales distribution and service
for Asia Pacific, which includes India.
Harris is based at Ford’s India corporate office in Gurgaon.
