Wholesale price inflation in India accelerated to a 12-year high of 14.23% in November 2021. This is the highest WPI figure since April 2005 and marks a steady rise from 12.54% in October. The sharp increase in inflation was driven primarily by rising manufacturing, food, and fuel prices, including mineral oils, basic metals, crude petroleum, and natural gas.
