4. Information
• You can sell in several different markets:
USA, Canada, Australia. New Zealand,
Mexico, Germany, Franca and soon to
be in Spain!
•
• Your commission is worked out differently
for sales made in the UK and sales
made internationally
• UK commission is worked out on net
prices – taking VAT off
• Mascara retails at £23 – net price is
£19.17
• UK sales commission at 20% is £3.83 –
20% of the £19.17
• Yellow, pink and blue sales commission is
25% which is £4.79
• Green and above commission is 30%
which is £5.75
Your recognized status will never go down once
reached – if you hit pink you will always be
recognized as pink until you hit blue. However
your ‘paid as’ status resets at the beginning of
each month. The only exception is this will never
go below yellow.
Presenters are paid through an outside company
called pay quicker. It’s basically a bank account
for your business. You are paid 4 hours after your
own personal sales. Team royalties are paid on
the 8th of the following month.
After your first sale you receive an email to set up
your account. You need to provide 2 forms of ID
for this – 1 of them photo. You can use the card
you receive after getting £50 in the account just
as you would a normal card, however there are
small fees. It’s recommended that you transfer it
to your own bank account.
5. Getting Started
Here’s an example of earnings if you sold 1
mascara a day for 30 days
White 20% = £113.10
Pink-Blue 25% = £141
Green-Black 30% = £169.50
To work out commission:
Product price/1.2/100x%
Example for mascara:
23/1.2/100x20 = £3.83
Easy way to work out commission:
For 20% - divide the full price by 6
For 25% - divide the full price by 4.8
For 30% - divide the full price by 4
To work out international commission:
Royalty points x 0.65 (peg rate) x % (eg 0.2 for
white)
Example for mascara:
29x0.65x0.2=£3.77
• Create a Business Page/ Group
(You can only post giveaways/offers etc in
closed groups)
Share products and post daily – invite all
friends to like and share
• Go through your back office to Younique
Youniversity – This helps a lot – read it
all
Start selling:
• First – set up a party link – this is in your
back office under host a party, host
this party myself – take note of the
link as this is what you will give
people to order from – or to order
through yourself
• Parties gain hostess rewards, YCash to
spend on products, as well as your
commission
•
• Post on your personal page letting people
know you’ve started your own
business and would appreciate
support/likes/shares etc
6. Build a Team
When you start building your team,
make sure you can provide them with
the time and assistance in training, as
their sponsor it’s your responsibility that
they get the tools they need to succeed.
• Add them to Facebook training
groups
• Introduce them to your sponsor so
they know if you’re not available
who they need to go to
• Most importantly look after them
and ensure they go on to look for
their teams! Teamwork makes
the dream work
•
Be aware of your teams success/progress
and remember to congratulate them!
Building a team is important to be able
to progress past yellow.
You need 3 team members to get your
Fast Start.
You need 1 team member for pink
2 for blue, 3 for green.
To progress past green you also need to
help your team become elites.
Always be encouraging your team to
build their own team, this helps
everyone.
7. Royalties
• Each product has royalty points attached
• These are used to calculate overseas retail commissions and also for commission
on team sales at the end of the month
• Retail royalty points are used to calculate commissions on your own sales –
wholesale points (retail points x 0.75) are used to calculate commissions on
sales of downline
• Royalty points are converted into commissions using the rate on the commission
table, then converted to your local currency using an exchange rate (UK is 0.65)
• 3D Fiber Lash Mascara is £23 but has 29 royalty points. In USA it’s $29, Australia is
AUS$38, but it’s still 29 royalty points.
• When joining you get 20%
• Commission rate for a mascara sold abroad is
29 points x 20% commission x 0.65 exchange rate =£3.77
• All month end commissions and sales targets for promotions etc. are calculated on
royalty points value of your sales, which is what you see in your back office –
this is equivalent to the US$ value of your sales

everyone that they

your circle will be the
same as your company
• Company wholesale points
are the total points sold
by everyone in your

• When you start recruiting =

come out of your circle and
into your first generation

your first generations
recruits reaching green

your second generations

still have enough recruits
in your circle to keep your

20. Follow Up Friday
• Follow up once a week on potential customers and recruits
• Someone who has purchased the product, is happy with the product could potentially be a
new presenter in your team!
Follow up 1 week after a party closes – ask how they are getting on with their new purchases –
ask them for feedback
If there is no
response, don’t be
put off – try again a
few weeks later –
say you’ve not yet
heard from them
and would really like
to know how they
are getting on with
their products.
If they have issues with their
products – help them to
resolve it – offer them tips
to make the product work
better for them – don’t just
ignore the issues!
Help them resolve it and
they may even want to host
their own party!
If they love their
product – let them
know how well their
friends party did, let
them know what they
could gain from hosting
a party, if they love their
products, they might
want to host a party to
get themselves free
products!

Research ATTRACTION MARKETING
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT is massive to your success – aim to
read/watch videos/research for at least 30 minutes every single day
There are lots of videos on YouTube to watch to help you with anything
you could possibly need help with.
22. You need to register as self employed
Go to https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/registration/options
this is where you register as self employed it looks way scarier
than it actually is. You have 3 months after you start trading to
register with HMRC I personally would recommend registering
straightaway you do not pay anything or provide any information
until the end of the tax year which is April 5th. In relation to this
keep a record of any money you spend on your business. It could
just be a simple excel spreadsheet – make sure you have all
income and expenses recorded. Expenses you can claim for
include sign up fee, business cards, samples, mileage to events,
advertising, training, software you need. Pretty much anything
that you need to buy that you otherwise wouldn’t. You can’t
claim for clothes other than official uniform or advertising like the
hoodies. All HMRC usually want on your tax return is to know
what your Money In – Money Out comes to so your profit.
23. Selling Younique?
You cannot sell products on eBay, Buy & Sell Sites, Gumtree
or from a retail outlet. You can advertise the business
opportunity although it isn’t always the most effective form
of marketing – look up attraction marketing. If you own or
work in a salon, hairdressers, clothes shops etc you can have
a display stand with samples on and let customers place
their orders online or arrange to meet them away from your
premises.
24. Getting round shipping costs..
Shipping to the UK is £6.95 you can suggest a number of
things to your customers to get around this:
1x 3D Mascara = £29.95 each shipped directly to customer
3 x 3D Mascara = £25.50 each shipped to one customer
8 x 3D Mascara = £23 each plus £18.40 free shopping & 1
half price item 13 x 3D Mascara = £23 each plus £36 free
shopping & 2 half price items
25. Building your Kit
• Don’t put orders through just to build your kit – this is growing
your business synthetically, but not actually helping in the
long run.
• Make sure to always have a party running – this earns you half
price items and ycash which can then be used to build your
kit. Purchases made with ycash and half price items do not
count towards prs – but will save you money.
• Consider splitting products with a friend presenter – an easy
way to get more colours in each product.
• Place orders using ycash and half price items separately to
buying other products – this ensures you get as much back
as possible..
• Remember – the only way to know what you’re talking about
is to try the products yourself – give honest opinions based
on your usage.
