The Rocky Mountain District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod seeks to begin new mission congregations in underserved areas with growing populations. Their recent new ministries include Cross of Christ in Aurora, Colorado, Light of the Valley in Riverton, Utah, Family of Faith in Falcon, Colorado, and Shepherd of the Hills in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Their goal for 2010 is the Mile High Project to establish a new congregation in Denver focused on personal relationships and led by Pastor Paul Roggow.
